Oxford quartet Low Island made a flying start with the recent release of their debut EP ‘Just About Somewhere’ which has received close to 1 million streams on Spotify alone. Dolly Mavies is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from Oxfordshire. With Welsh roots and soulful sounds, Dolly's music captivates, with haunting vocals and ambient tones.

Catgod start the summer off with a slot at Rob de Bank’s Common People Festival followed by The Alternative Escape and Tandem Festival. Their woozy electronic sounds are set against some "serious instrumental skills and cleverly melodic vocal hooks and harmonies", mixing trip-hop and afrobeats.

Eloise Rees

James Bell

James Bell is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer and performer of old (usually pre-1900) English folk and popular music. He has been living and playing in Oxford, on and off, since the late 90s. Most of his own songs are about the intangibility of happiness. Most of the traditional songs are about mermaids. He often plays very loudly and sings very high.
