#TORYCORE is a show like no other. A fiercely political convergence of death metal and theatre, it’s about vocalising a response to Conservative Party policies through music, speeches, powerpoint and rage. It’s a guttural, expressive experience made up of Tory doctrine, political contexts and the impact of austerity over the past five years, told through “‘songs’ that fluctuate between being tensely funny and angrily barbaric, skewering the ridiculousness of Tory rhetoric” (Dan Hutton).

Ages 14+. 1 hour. In the OFS Theatre. £10.

"The rage is palpable, the impact terrific, and the force of despair almost agonising. #Torycore is a brilliant, brave idea, executed with terrific energy." - The Scotsman

"The roaring sound vibrates through the room, moving audiences bodily as much as emotionally. Its political rage is furiously infectious" - Catherine Love for Exeunt Magazine

What’s On Stage Awards on Ellinson’s singing: "This noise - that of a wounded animal roaring - pierced the festering sense of injustice within me and set me on fire."
