Wandering Wires

  • The Old Fire Station 40 George Street, Oxford OX1 2AQ UK

A five-piece jazz-electronic band from Oxford University, Wandering Wires was formed in April 2016.

Their debut album Departures was released in October 2016 to critical acclaim, with the band featuring on BBC Introducing’s national show and in music review NightShift. Wandering Wires will be playing their first headline slot at Offbeat festival, having just supported The Comet Is Coming at Oxford’s O2 Academy.

Their set involves both recent work and material from Departures, whose eclectic influences are seen in a combination of synthesizers and acoustic instruments, with inspiration drawn from artists such as Jon Hopkins, Floating Points, Bonobo and Robert Glasper.

£10 (or £25 for three headliner tickets).
