Unleash your inner idiot and take the voices in your head for a waltz around the stage with "master of shamelessly silly yet socially conscious clowning" (★★★★ Broadway Baby) Helen Duff.
Ever had an impulse that you’ve ignored, for fear of not knowing where it might end up? A radically playful and physically liberating workshop for creatives of any discipline who are curious to develop a greater sense of connection in their work.
Led by “bold, subversive and very funny” (★★★★ The Scotsman) performance maker, Helen Duff.
Ages 16+. In the OFS Studio. £15. (Book Helen Duff’s show and workshop for £20)
Please note that this is a movement-based workshop in which you will be challenging yourself physically, so wear clothes in which you will have no hesitation about getting stuck in.
Helen studied at LAMDA, L'Ecole Philippe Gaulier and the University of Cambridge. She trained in clown, physical theatre and fooling with John Wright, Phil Burgers (Dr Brown), Dan Lees, Trygve Wakenshaw and Deanna Fleysher (Butt Kapinski). Her award winning work has toured to the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Perth Fringe World, Berlin Comedy Cafe and across the UK. Collaborating with Holly Stoppit, Bristol based drama therapist and director, and her improvisational theatre company, Beyond The Ridiculous, has heavily influenced Helen's approach to performance.
